Say "Cheese"

Markings prevented the milk from being used!
Sunday, October 2 we made mozzarella cheese for Ben's learning component. Mary Beth from church came with most of the necessary ingredients, obscure things like rennet, citric acid and unchlorinated water, while we supplied the whole milk.
So we mixed, heated, cut and stretched our cheese till it was good enough to eat, which we did!

Doesn't look so good at this stage!

Mmmm, whey

Thanks to staff photographers Ian and Ella for most of the pictures!

The cheese-making surprisingly didn't take long, less than an hour, and was actually pretty easy. You just have to have the right ingredients that are not found in your typical kitchen!
