Recruitment teaser

We are off on our weekend recruitment trip tonight so we'll have some things to share once we return. But until then you enjoy our video slideshow (thanks to Renee for doing most of the work on it and everyone for allowing the use of their pictures)!

Due to a recent computer crash (leader's laptop hard drive failure) there will be a delay on pictures from our Johnstown trip. So there will probably be two posts next week, yippee!

Concert at the Fiddle

Last weekend Renee's mom and sister came for a visit and they (at least her mom) joined us for another outing to The Purple Fiddle to see The Steel Wheels again, both of which we highly recommend if you get the chance!

This coming weekend we are heading up to Johnstown, PA for another East Coast reunion. The Raleigh, NC unit is also driving up so we're looking forward to having fun with both those groups again.

Two weeks later we'll be taking our recruiting trip to Allison's hometown area of Orville, OH. Although we're quickly approaching the end of the Service Adventure year there's still lots more to come!

pictures and stuff

We don't have much really to say. But I thought we'd put up some pictures from various activities that haven't been written about.

And I thought we'd show you the blog that Abby has been writing while here. She has a couple of posts this month and more pictures if you care to venture over here.

While Winter and Spring fight it out...

Abby and Allison

...we're just enjoying what we get!

This winter has been weird so far. We've had a few snow falls but not much at a time and never lasting. We've been excited to go sledding up at the farm, and one day mid-January that looked promising because there were a couple of inches on the ground and it was around 15 degrees. But by lunchtime when we went up it was closer to 60 out and there was not much snow left. But that didn't stop snowballs from flying and a few people going down the hill! Then a couple of days later it was sunny, warm and people were climbing our tree!

Mid-January - Mike, Ella and Ben up the tree.
Earlier that weekend though, while McHugh's were away, everyone else went in search of hills to sled down and they ended up walking up to our friend Mary Beth's house. She showed them a good place to go and even went down with them!

Then in February we got another snowstorm that lasted another couple of days. But it was extremely cold so we didn't spend a whole lot of time outside. It lasted another day or two. Here are a couple of pictures from our fun anyway!
