Miscellany and lots of pictures

Our unit was featured in the Service Adventure News for April. This is distributed to each of the units and I'm not sure to who else, besides Facebook. Every unit got a month to tell about themselves in the newsletter. Here's a link to see it.

The other week, our little city of Philippi drew in some rather big names in Christian music for a concert at the city gym: Big Daddy Weave and Chris Sligh. We got tickets from friends at World Vision.

We also had a blast painting pottery at the Wow Factory in Morgantown.

Easter Weekend

We had a busy Easter weekend made extra special by family visitors. Tara's sister and brother-in-law came from Illinois and Heidi's parents came from Indiana.

We had an Easter egg hunt at the house for everyone under 20 :) And friends from church came over for a nice meal which included something prepared by everyone in the house (except those under 5!)

This Weeks Challenge
Our challenge this week is to do yard work for someone else. That's not a task for every day, so it shouldn't be difficult, we just have to set the time to do it! Especially since we are heading to Washington DC this weekend, it needs to be done on a week night. You can pray for us, for safety and joyful spirits as we go to the big city!

And since we didn't post last week, in case you are wondering, our challenge was to use only food in the house for preparing meals, buying only staples like bread, milk and eggs. Christina did a great job using what we have, and it worked out well having that challenge right before Easter since we splurged a little and bought a ham and other goodies for our Sunday meal!
